We are your local wool, crochet, knitting and haberdashery shop. From beginners to experts, we offer something for everyone, and we have become a destination yarn shop for our many visitors from all around Essex and further afield. We also offer friendly classes, workshops and Knit & Knatter sessions!
We carry an extensive selection of yarn, wool and cotton, in all weights from the finest crochet threads to mega -big arm knitting size! From pure wool to mixed fibres, we cater for most budgets. We stock recycled yarns in all weights, alongside a couple of organic ranges. With frequent deliveries of new ranges, it is advisable to follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date with our latest delights!
Bodkins is an updated version of an old-fashioned haberdashery. We stock a complete range of hard-to-find items, many (like buttons) sold individually. Ribbon, elastic, and cording are sold by the metre rather than in prepackaged amounts.
We are a real Aladdin’s Cave – full of gorgeous accessories to finish your home-made items!
We proudly stock three independent small British businesses - Emma Ball, Corinne Lapeirre and Feathered Felts. Alongside this we have a large selection of gift ideas and accessories, including embroidery, needle felting, basic cross-stitch and children's project ideas. Something for everyone!
